University to host pre-tryout cheer clinic
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois University Carbondale Saluki cheerleading pre-tryout clinic is March 29 at the Student Recreation Center.
The clinic, which is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will prepare current high school and college students for Saluki cheerleading tryouts and becoming a college cheerleader. The clinic will be in the recreation center’s west gym. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m.
The registration fee is $65, and participants receive instruction, a T-shirt, snacks and lunch. The registration deadline is March 21. Participants age 18 and younger must have a signed medical release form on file before the clinic.
