‘Laborers’ art exhibition on display through Friday

An exhibit featuring work from visiting exhibitor Nathan Meltz is on display in the Vergette Gallery, on the first floor of the Allyn Building.  Coordinated by Travis Janssen, a visiting assistant professor, “Laborers” explores the notions of work and industry through the story of a doomed robotic populace in a techno-dystopia. The exhibit features prints, sculpture, animation and collage. Meltz teaches at Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute and maintains a studio in Troy, N.Y., and his work can be seen at nathanmeltz.com.  The Vergette Gallery is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
