Teacher education program is among ‘Top Colleges in Illinois’
Southern Illinois University Carbondale was named one of the top 20 colleges in Illinois for teacher education according to The College Database.
The university was 17th on the “Top Colleges in Illinois: Shaping the Next Generation” list. The recognition goes to post-secondary institutions that produced the largest number of education graduates during the 2012 school year. Only fully accredited, four-year, not-for-profit universities graduating at least 10 students from education or teaching programs for the year were eligible for recognition from the non-profit education information organization.
