British Soccer Camp set for June 11-15
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- British Soccer Camp is back!
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp is the No.1 soccer camp in the U.S. and Canada and Southern Illinois University Carbondale has it. The Division of Continuing Education is collaborating with Challenger Sports to hold the camp June 11-15 at Stehr Field on the University campus. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon for players ages 6 to 10 and from 1 to 4 p.m. for players ages 11 to 16.
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp focuses on a framework of character development based on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Participants will receive instruction in key techniques and technical components of soccer while also learning about the geography, traditions and culture of countries with great soccer traditions. The coaches from Britain receive specific training to lead these camps. Each coach has a genuine interest in helping each player develop and providing them with a memorable and positive experience.
The camp registration fee is $145. The registration fee covers instruction, a camp T-shirt, a soccer ball, a giant soccer poster, and a skills performance evaluation.
