Annual Health and Nutrition Fair is March 21
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- In celebration of National Nutrition Month, University Housing is hosting the 11th Annual Health and Nutrition Fair at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The March 21 event, in honor of the American Dietetic Association’s commemorative month, is set for 4-6 p.m. at the lower level of Grinnell Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend. The theme is “Lights, Camera, Nutrition: Meet the Stars of a Balanced Diet!” Exhibits from the University and the community will offer valuable information about nutrition, a balanced diet and good health.
Participants will discover colorful and nutritious foods that comprise a healthy diet as they enjoy fun, hands-on activities and contests. The first 300 active participants get a free “Healthywood” T-shirt.
“This free event is open to all members of the community. Don’t miss your chance to star in our first take of the ‘Healthy Hollywood Hills,’” said Jacqueline Wilcox, nutrition counselor/graduate assistant for University Housing and event coordinator.
