Faculty, staff can participate in Aug. 18 workshop
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- It’s said that we can’t always change what happens to us, only how we handle it.
Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Labor and Employee Relations is presenting the workshop “How to Handle What Life Dishes Out” on Thursday, Aug. 18, in Parkinson Laboratory, Room 107, with all faculty and staff welcome. The session is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Carol Fisher, workforce learning and development officer, will discuss how to respond professionally to criticism from others we encounter in our work. She notes that how well we communicate can influence how others view our work and our performance.
