Insurance update -- 6/17/11
The Benefit Choice Period has been extended to Monday, June 20, 2011. All Benefit Choice Election forms must be received by close of business at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Mailed election forms postmarked by June 20, 2011 will be accepted.Please visit either the SIUC Human Resources website (www.siuc.edu/~humres) or the CMS website (www.benefitschoice.il.gov) for detailed benefit choice information and resources.
90-day Contract Update
The State and Humana Health Plans were unable to come to an agreement on the terms of a 90-day contract. Members currently enrolled in either the Humana Health Plan or the Humana-Winnebago plan must select one of the other available health plan vendor options by close of business on Monday, June 20, 2011. Enrollment forms postmarked by June 20, 2011 will be accepted and processed. Current Humana Health Plan or Humana-Winnebago members who do not select a new health plan by the deadline will be defaulted into the CIGNA plan effective July 1, 2011.
