by Andrea Hahn

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Jeremy Phillips, a graduate student in political science at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, earned a fellowship stipend from the Division of Social and Economic Sciences of the National Science Foundation.

Phillips will apply the fellowship to attending the Political Networks Conference and Workshops at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.

The event receives funding from the National Science Foundation annually, with fellowships intended to bring graduate students, postdoctoral scholars and junior faculty to the conference.

The fellowships are highly selective awards. Phillips will have the opportunity to meet with other top graduate students and scholars at the beginnings of their careers in political network analysis.
