Saluki Spring Jam 2011 is free, open to all

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki Spring Jam 2011, a triple-play concert, is coming to Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Student Programming Council Concerts is hosting the free April 30 concert at the upper arena fields. The music starts at 7 p.m. and the concert features The Maine. Opening acts are E-603 and Sleeperstar. The Maine (www.wearethemaine.net) is an alternative rock/pop rock/Indie band from Tempe, Ariz., recording on the Warner Bros. Records label. The band’s album “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” hit No. 40 on the Billboard charts and the group appeared in a 2010 issue of Vanity Fair. E-603 is a New Hampshire electro/pop/electronica band while Sleeperstar is a Dallas-based alternative/pop/rock group.

Everyone is welcome to attend Saluki Spring Jam 2011, which is an alcohol-free event.
