Students can enjoy 'Tie-Dye Extravaganza'

by Christi Mathis

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- One of spring's most popular events for Southern Illinois University Carbondale students returns April 20.

It’s the annual Tie-Dye Extravaganza, set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Free Forum Area near the parking garage on campus. You can create your own specialized crazy-colored T-shirt. The Student Programming Council Visual Arts Committee is providing all materials. But shirt sizes and supplies are limited and participation is on a first-come basis!

Participants in the Fourth Annual Tie Dye Extravaganza can also get their groove on with hula-hoops and the event features musical entertainment, too. It’s all free and open to all SIUC students.
