Commencement ceremonies set for Dec. 18
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Chancellor Rita Cheng will deliver remarks at commencement ceremonies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Ceremonies will be at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. There are 1,909 candidates for degrees, including: 1,522 candidates for bachelor’s degrees, 313 candidates for master’s degrees, 53 candidates for doctoral degrees, 11 candidates for law degrees, and 10 candidates for associate degrees.
Commencement ceremonies are open to the public, and tickets are not required.
The schedule is as follows:
• 9:30 a.m. -- College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Applied Sciences and Arts, College of Business, College of Education and Human Services, College of Engineering.
• 1:30 p.m. -- Graduate School, School of Law, College of Liberal Arts, College of Mass Communication and Media Arts, College of Science.
