Southern Illinois Flute Choir to present concert
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois Flute Choir, a Southern Illinois University Carbondale School of Music ensemble, presents a concert featuring a variety of musical styles on Friday, Dec. 10.
The free performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Carbondale.
Tim Pitchford, a member of the School of Music faculty and director of the SIUC Studio Jazz Orchestra, is a featured trombone soloist for this performance.
The program includes such pieces as “African Noel,” “Blue Train,” and “Southern Sketches.”
