SIUC to host track and field camps this summer
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Division of Continuing Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is offering junior high and high school student athletes a chance to learn new skills and improve their jumping and throwing abilities at the 2010 Saluki Track and Field Camps.
The Pole Vault Camp will be on July 10. There are two sessions of the Throws Camp, set for July 10 and 11 and participants can come to either or both sessions. All track and field camps run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the McAndrew Stadium/Lew Hartzog Track.
Both clinics will offer each participant a personalized evaluation of his or her technique(s). The registration fee is $100 for either Saturday camp or the Sunday camp. However, those attending both days of Throws Camp pay just $175.
