Inspiring Women program seeks nominations

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Inspiring Women program will honor four deserving women this fall during the sixth annual Inspiring Women Gala.

The program is currently seeking nominations for the award, which honors southern Illinois women who have made an impact in their community. Nominees should demonstrate achievement in the workplace or community and a commitment to improving the quality of life for others in the community. The nominee should also display demonstrated evidence of socially responsible, ethical and outstanding leadership either in specific positions of responsibility or while engaged in service activities.

The program’s nominations committee will accept applications until June 30. Four honorees will be awarded at the Gala on Oct. 17.
