Every fall, recruiters from across the country descend on the SIUC campus to meet with accounting students. The Accounting Career Day attendance list includes Archer Daniels Midland, Caterpillar Inc., Pepsi MidAmerica, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PriceWaterhouse Coopers, to name a few.

"College of Business students have proven themselves in the profession," said Marcus D. Odom, director of the School of Accountancy. "They are highly sought after by major companies."

In fact, the School of Accountancy boasts a nearly 100 percent placement rate for its students. "Our students continue to impress their employers and that's exactly why companies keep coming back to Carbondale, so they can recruit more SIUC College of Business students," said Donna M. Margolis, career services and placement center director.
