Alumni group invites members to events
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The SIU Alumni Association presents Member Appreciation Night with the DUKES of Dixieland at Shryock Auditorium on Dec. 1.
SIU Alumni Association members are invited to feast on real New Orleans style cuisine at Old Main Restaurant in the SIUC Student Center. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. beginning with appetizers. The main course consists of sweet red chili marinated catfish and light spice chicken praline. Reservations for the dinner are $15.
Immediately following dinner, members are invited to take in real New Orleans jazz with the DUKES of Dixieland at Shryock Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The DUKES weave strands of pop, gospel and country with authentic New Orleans sounds. Tickets to the show are $21 for SIU Alumni Association members, a $6 discount off the regular ticket price.
