Campus Safety Alert

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University police are investigating a report of an aggravated battery and robbery that occurred at 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17. The incident occurred on Park Street between Grinnell Hall and Charlotte West Stadium.

The victim, a 19-year-old SIUC student, told police three white males approached him on Park Street. One suspect grabbed the back of the victim's toga while the same, or a second suspect, patted the victim's shorts pockets and took his wallet. The suspects then pushed the victim down, and he struck his face on the pavement.

The victim refused hospital treatment.

The three suspects are white males, each under than 25 years old and each wearing black or navy T-shirts. One of the suspects had blonde, spiked hair and was wearing khaki pants. The other two suspects were wearing blue jeans.
