Golf scramble to benefit scholarship fund

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- A best-ball golf scramble to benefit a scholarship fund in Southern Illinois University Carbondale's College of Applied Sciences and Arts is set for June 25 at Stone Creek Golf Course in Makanda.

The Southern Illinois Scholarship Scramble will fund CASA program scholarships for high school graduates in Franklin, Jackson, Randolph, Perry, Union and Williamson counties and children of CASA alumni. The scramble will also fund CASA Alumni Constituency Society development activities.

Prizes include $10,000 for a hole-in-one. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The scramble begins at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start.

Registration is $100 per player, which includes all golf fees, lunch, on-course beverages, selected on-course contests and snacks. Sponsorships of $125, $250, $500 and the $1,000 CASAngel sponsorships are also available.
