SIUC offering summer architecture camps

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Any budding builders in the family? Encourage their creativity by sending them to summer architecture camps at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Under the direction of accomplished architectural designer and award-winning teacher Jon Davey, campers will take walking field trips, create computer-assisted designs, work on studio projects and much more.

A breakdown of individual sessions:

  • Kid Architecture Camps, for day campers, sessions offered June 21-25 and July 5-9. For students entering grades four through six, $150.

  • Architecture Camp I, for residential or commuter campers, July 11-16. For junior high/middle school students entering grades seven-nine, $480 for residential and $200 for commuter campers;

  • Architecture Camp II, July 18-23, for residential or commuter campers entering grades nine through 12, $480 for residential and $200 for commuter campers.

Please register at least two weeks before the start of each camp.
