New staff identification cards available Nov. 20

The new staff identification cards will be available to all civil service, faculty and a/p staff beginning Nov. 20. To receive your new ID card, please visit the Identification Cards office located on the second floor of the Student Center. Office hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays. New cards will be issued free of charge; however, you will need to bring your old card to exchange for the new one.

The new staff ID cards will feature a new graphic design and the official seal of the State of Illinois. The employee's new Administrative Information System ID number will be displayed on the front of the card, replacing the Social Security number. These cards were designed to replace the Certificate of Appointment cards and are your official identification for access to University facilities and services. No expiration date will be used on the new ID card; therefore the card is valid until the employee terminates employment with the University. The card must be relinquished upon termination.

If you have any questions regarding the new ID cards, please contact Jeff Duke at 453-3494.
