International Education Week is Nov. 12-17 

The Center for International Education (CIE) invites faculty, staff and students to participate in International Education Week, Nov. 12-17, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Events and workshops will focus on campus internationalization and the tools and resources available to faculty, staff and students, through the CIE. The schedule of events and workshops is here. In addition, the International Festival will be in February.


SIU featured in AASHE Sustainable Campus Index 

The spotlight is on the university’s green initiatives in the 2017 Sustainable Campus Index, released this week by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Salukis have kept more than one million single-use bottles out of the waste stream through installation and use of campus water refill stations and other efforts, as noted in SIU’s profile within the index’s “Waste” section.
