The Great Cardboard Boat Regatta, a 43-year-old university tradition, returns this spring with a new location but the same excitement and fun as always. More


Writing Center hosts open houses

The Writing Center at Morris Library hosts a pair of open houses in March to remind the campus community that Writing Center staff are available to help with every stage of the writing process. More


Library to host 3D scanner demonstrations

Morris Library will host a 3D scanning and printing demonstration from noon to 4 p.m., March 24, in the first-floor rotunda. The one-touch NextEngine 3D scanner will allow users to scan their own objects and create 3D models suitable for 3D printing. The library, along with the non-profit organization, New Blankets, will conduct the demonstrations. More information is available here.


SIU Press celebrating 60th anniversary

Southern Illinois University Press is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2016 with year-long events to mark more than half a century of publishing regional and scholarly works.  More


SIU to host Region 8 Science Fair on Thursday
