Desire2Learn Open Labs set

Faculty with questions about the effective use of Desire2Learn tools, SIUOnline technical issues or third-party tool and textbook integrations can receive help during two sessions later this month from the Center for Teaching Excellence. The sessions are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, and Jan. 27, in Morris Library, Room 174.


A/P performance evaluations reminder

University policy requires that all Administrative/Professional staff have their work evaluated between Jan. 1 and March 31 each year. The evaluation form can be found on the AIS e-forms website. Completed evaluations should be sent to Human Resources before the April 1 deadline. For more information regarding the process, contact Pat Latch at 453-6660.


Afro-Cuban jazz trio to perform Jan. 23

The School of Music opens the spring 2015 semester with a visit from Fidel Morales and the Fidel Morales Afro-Cuban Jazz Trio. Issac Lausell, assistant professor in the School of Music, is a member of the trio. More


‘Saluki Watch Dawg’ January issue is available

The Department of Public Safety’s January issue of the ‘Saluki Watch Dawg’ is available. This month’s edition highlights tips for the start of the spring 2015 semester, federal compliance training schedules and new pay stations in the parking lot of the Student Center. There is also information on the department’s involvement in “Operation Sergeant Santa.” The newsletter is also available on the department’s website.
