Media Advisory – Barbara Flynn Currie

Illinois House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie's appearance at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, is now set for Wednesday, May 3, due to the ongoing legislative session in Springfield. Currie, D-Chicago, will present her lecture, sponsored by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, at 4 p.m. in Student Center Ballroom D. Currie will also speak to institute Director Mike Lawrence's class, "American Politics and the Mass Media," at 9:35 a.m., Thursday, May 4. Lawrence's class meets in Faner Hall, Room 1005 – the building entrance is through the doors closest to the Student Center on the south end of Faner Hall.
