SIU Experts Guide
Welcome to the Experts Guide for Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Our strengths in the sciences and social sciences include many areas of environmental and energy research, materials science, agricultural biotechnology, biomedical research and cognitive science. Strengths in the arts and humanities encompass fields as diverse as American philosophy, creative writing, documentary filmmaking, finance and rehabilitation. SIU Carbondale's researchers and scholars, recognized nationally and internationally for their expertise, carry out cutting-edge research and outreach projects in a wide variety of areas, including criminal justice, education, rural health, water quality, and social work, just to name a few.
