WED degree program available to John A. Logan students

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Workforce Education and Development bachelor’s degree program will be available for off-campus students at John A. Logan College beginning with online classes this summer.

SIU Carbondale's Workforce Education and Development program is one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States. It offers an organizational training and development specialization that assists working adults. Academic credit is available for students with qualifying work experience and occupational and technical training, allowing some students to complete the major degree requirements within one year.

The specialization’s curriculum, tools and skills are transferable across many careers and industries.

Full-time or part-time enrollment with online and alternate weekend classes is available. Online classes will begin in May, with classes at John A. Logan starting in the fall.

Two $500 scholarships per semester are available for qualifying students. Information on how to apply for these scholarships can be found at extendedcampus.siu.edu/scholarships/.
