Media Advisory – ‘Grow Room’
The College of Agricultural Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale welcomes members of the media to a ribbon cutting for the new LED grow room, located in the Agriculture Building, room 169. Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell will be on hand with the college’s leadership board at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 31. Donors may be present as well. The LED grow room will be used for class instruction and small research projects. Students have been traveling to a research site at University Farms, which limited their ability to access plants for study outside of class time. The LED grow room will make plants for study and research more accessible to students.
