Media Advisory – Supreme Court Nominee Expert Analysis
With President Donald J. Trump expected to name his nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court next week, the Southern Illinois University School of Law has several experts who will be available once the announcement is made to provide insight to members of the media.
Professor Cindy Buys and Associate Professor Steven J. Macias both teach Constitutional Law classes. Assistant Professor Ed Dawson, who clerked for Justice Anthony Kennedy in 2004, teaches classes that include federal courts. The nominee, if approved by the U.S. Senate, would fill the late Justice Antonin Scalia’s seat on the nine-member court.
