AmeriCorps event to benefit Good Samaritan House
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Land of Lincoln AmeriCorps at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is sponsoring an afternoon of bowling fun to benefit the Good Samaritan House in Carbondale.
“Bowling for Good Samaritan House” will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Student Center’s Bowling and Billiards. Participants who bring a personal hygiene product or cash donation to go to Good Samaritan House may bowl two games and rent shoes for just $3 per person.
All proceeds of the bowl-a-thon will go toward the facility that provides services to people in need. Door prizes will also be available.
