AIS offers more payroll time entry training

Due to the popularity and demand for the classes, Administrative Information Systems (AIS) is offering additional classes in time entry training for department timekeepers.  The formalized training AIS developed will assist each department in ensuring accuracy and timely payroll processing.

More than 100 staff members from more than 44 departments and administrative areas have attending the training sessions, with classes at capacity. AIS added two sessions in December to compliment the remaining schedule.

Space is limited, but AIS recommends that departments send at least two people to the training session. This overlap will increase a department’s ability to process payroll and minimize the impact if a department’s timekeeper is temporarily out or takes another position.

The remaining session dates are:

Bi-weekly civil service time entry training

  • Nov. 4, 10 a.m.
  • Dec. 2, 10 a.m.

Student time entry training

  • Nov. 12, 10 a.m.
  • Dec. 9, 10 a.m.

It is important to register early. Participants must also complete the following, to attend.

  • Secure access for the time entry responsibility (this may take a week or more).
  • Review online self-directed training tutorials (approximately one hour).

Instructions to complete the prerequisite requirements are on the HMS time entry website.
