Symposium focus is organ donation

The 16th annual Southern Illinois Healthcare/Southern Illinois University Health Policy Institute is May 16 in the SIU School of Law’s Hiram H. Lesar Law Building, room 108. 

The symposium, “From Critical Shortage to Critical Mass: Addressing the Lack of Donor Organs,” is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The event features presentations from national experts and will include discussions on current regulatory and public policy issues in health care.  

The symposium is co-sponsored by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, SIU School of Medicine’s Department of Medical Humanities, Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois State Medical Society.
