Media Advisory -- Visit of Chinese Delegation

SIU Carbondale Chancellor Rita Cheng will welcome a four-member delegation from China’s Northeast Normal University (NENU) at a news conference on Friday, Nov. 22. The news conference will begin at 10 a.m. in the Provost’s reception area, on the first floor of Anthony Hall.

SIU is hosting the delegation, led by NENU President Liu Yichun, in recognition of the 30th anniversary of the official relationship between the two institutions. That is SIU’s longest active partnership with an international institution.

Northeast Normal University, located in Changchun City in the northern part of China, hosted a six-member delegation from SIU, led by Cheng, for a celebration of the anniversary in early October.
