‘Waters of Southern Illinois’ distribution set

A publication that looks at one of the region’s most important resources will be available on campus later this week.

“Waters of Southern Illinois: Past, Present, & Future,” the latest edition of the SIU Carbondale’s “Imagining Geographies” publication series, will be available in the Daily Egyptian newspaper on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The publication will also be available on the Imagining Geographies website http://imagining.siu.edu.

The publication brings together some of the region’s most respected and emerging researchers, artists, educators and photographers to share knowledge and insight about one of the region’s most important resources.  The publication presents a broad view, linking issues, stakeholders, policy options and actions.

The publication is a collaborative effort of the Imagining Geographies initiative, the College of Mass Communication and Media Arts, and University College. Co-sponsors include the SIU Carbondale Green Fund, Sustainability Council, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Science, the Center for Ecology, Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, the university’s IGERT and Environmental Resources & Policy programs.
