‘Building Bridges’ conference next week
The sixth annual graduate student “Building Bridges” Philosophy Conference is Oct. 18-19. The five sessions will be in the Student Center Saline Room. The theme of this year’s conference is “Regarding Desire.” The event is free and the public is welcome to attend. The two-day conference brings together different academic traditions and lines of inquiry. Cynthia Willett, a professor in the Department of Philosophy at Emory University is the keynote speaker, and will present “Water and Wing Give Wonder: Trans-Species Cosmopolitanism and World Peace,” at 5 p.m., Oct. 19, in Morris Library’s John C.
