SPC plans Cards-Cubs bus trip for Sept. 29

by Tiana Russell

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- What better way is there to wrap up the summer than to take in a baseball game featuring a pennant contender and a longstanding rival?

Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Student Programming Council is sponsoring a trip to St. Louis on Sunday, Sept. 29, when the St. Louis Cardinals square off against the Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium.

Tickets are available on a first-come basis and everyone is welcome.  Get tickets by visiting the business office on the second floor of the Student Center.  The $50 cost covers a game ticket and round-trip coach bus transportation.  About 25 seats remain for the 1:15 p.m. game. Participants will need to complete a travel waiver before boarding the bus.

Individuals who want to go to the game but supply their own transportation may buy tickets for $32 apiece. In those instances, you will need to make arrangements through the SPC office, located on the third floor of the Student Center, to pick up tickets and also sign an alternate transportation waiver.
