Haunted Hollow ready to ‘scare the fun’ into you
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Bewitching family fun is in store for all who come to Touch of Nature Environmental Center's Haunted Hollow.
The popular annual Southern Illinois University Carbondale event is set for 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, at the center, about eight miles south of Carbondale on Giant City Road. Participants will enjoy a variety of activities including face painting, "Trivia and Treat," paddleboat and pontoon rides, a campfire, creepy crawlers and other assorted fun happenings for all ages.
The deadline for advance registration is 4 p.m. on Nov. 2. The cost for those who sign up by the deadline is $7 for children and adults ages 14 and older, and $5 for children ages 6-13. Tickets at the door will be $9 for children and adults ages 14 and older, and $7 for ages 6-13. Children ages five years old and younger are free.
