Dawgs Nite Out is Friday at Student Rec Center

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Dawgs Nite Out returns to Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Friday, Oct. 19, with free food, fun, games, prizes and activities of all kinds.

The event is from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Student Recreation Center and is free for all University students who show a valid University ID card.

The activities will include laser tag, human foosball and bowling, a photo booth, caricatures, headphone disco, crate stacking from Touch of Nature Environmental Center, Bingo, henna tattoos, and massages. Other contests include cannonball, basketball dunk, cast away, pool activities and other fun events. Students will also have opportunities to win door prizes.

Those attending can dine on nachos, popcorn, locally grown apples, snow cones, "make-your-own" granola and more, topped off with a surprise late-night meal at 11 p.m. Students are reminded to bring swimwear and athletic shoes and join in on the fun.
