CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University Carbondale's International Student Council is hosting the ISC World Cup Soccer Tournament beginning this weekend.

The tournament begins Saturday, Sept. 29, and continues on weekends through Nov. 4.

Numerous groups of University students, including international students, will participate with many teams.  Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to come enjoy the games, which begin at 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. each Saturday and Sunday, with the exception of the fall break weekend Oct. 6-7.

There will be free water at the games for spectators.  The weekend action takes place on Stehr Field near Pulliam Hall and Wham Building.  Organizers anticipate the final match could be at another campus location.
