Flags lowered to remember, serve

Under a proclamation signed by Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, the United States flag and the Illinois flag are to be at half-staff from sunrise to sunset, Tuesday, Sept. 11, on behalf of the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
