CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Action films and a new take on a popular fairy tale are part of the fall lineup at Southern Illinois University Carbondale courtesy of the Student Programming Council Films.

The early semester movie schedule features discount prices for a variety of popular films for the whole family. Tickets are $2 for SIU Carbondale students with their campus ID and children ages 10 and younger. The price for the general public is $3 per person. Children three and younger get in free but please don’t bring children to R-rated movies. Payment is by cash, and University students may also pay by Debit Dawg.

The series kicks off with two free movies for students in celebration of the University's "Dawgs Nite Out" and "Week of Welcome." All SPC Films are in the Student Center Auditorium.
