Student Center to host annual Easter Buffet
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The traditional Easter Buffet returns to Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Sunday, April 8.
The annual event is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Student Center Ballrooms. The meal begins with curried raisin apple, carrot and broccoli salad along with spring greens with fruit, French onion soup and penne pasta salad with Parmesan vinaigrette. Featured entrees are sweet and sour glazed ham and chicken with mushroom supreme sauce. Side dishes include baked apples with brown sugar, green beans with corn and peppers, vegetable medley and parsley buttered red potatoes. Also on the menu are desserts: assorted pastries, cakes, cobblers, cookies, fruit and other sweet treats.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Advance tickets are $13 for students and senior adults, $14 for the general pubic and $6.75 for children ages seven and younger. At the door, prices are $1 higher.
