‘We Serve Expectations’ workshop set for Jan. 26
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Change is inevitable in life, but adapting and creating a positive environment is beneficial to us and to those around us.
An upcoming workshop at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will provide faculty and staff with tools and tips for creating that positive environment. The “We Serve Expectations” presentation from Labor and Employee Relations is set for 9:30-11 a.m. on Jan. 26 in the Student Health Center Auditorium.
Carol Fisher, workforce learning and development officer, will discuss how we can’t postpone change but can act to sustain and enhance the University and its best qualities. She’ll discuss service awareness, self-management and delivering excellent customer service. She’ll also note how our words and actions impact other people and how we can meet the expectations of the people we serve.
