Media Advisory -- ‘Hot Rods’ Reception
The University Museum at Southern Illinois University Carbondale hosts a special reception for the “Goin’ Fast and Lookin’ Good: Hot Rods in Southern Illinois” exhibit this weekend. Members of the media, including photographers, reporters and camera crews, are welcome to attend this reception. Several hot rods will be on display for this reception. The cars are from the golden age of the hot rod -- the 1950s through the 1960s -- and have a connection to Southern Illinois. Car owners will be on hand for possible interviews about the history of their cars and how they represent the hot rod in Southern Illinois. The reception is 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
