‘How to Handle What Life Dishes Out’ seminar set
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- We can’t always control what happens to us but we can control how we deal with it.
“How to Handle What Life Dishes Out” is an Oct. 20 workshop from Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Labor and Employee Relations. Faculty and staff are welcome to attend the presentation from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Student Health Center auditorium.
Carol Fisher, workforce learning and development officer, will discuss professional integrity and how we act with a focus toward solutions and problem resolution. The program offers ideas for responding professionally, even when criticized by a colleague or others we encounter in our work. Proper responses are important as our responses and communications influence how others view us, our work and our performance, Fisher notes.
