University to host all-majors job fair Oct. 19
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- All majors, all welcome -- students interested in employment in the near future or career development a bit further out may find some answers and opportunities at the all-majors job fair sponsored by Career Services at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The event, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 19 in the Student Center Ballrooms, features representatives from more than 60 employers. Internship opportunities as well as employment possibilities will be available.
Job Fair participants represent a wide variety of industries, including retail, mining, law enforcement, financial investing, aviation, manufacturing, natural resources and energy, health, education, hospitality and tourism, military and more.
Pre-registration is not a requirement, and admission is free. Those looking for employment or internships should bring multiple copies of their résumés and any other appropriate credentials or documents, and should dress professionally -- in business casual at minimum.
