Ten questions with ... Sally Wright

Job on campus/department you work in: Associate director of programs, Recreational Sports and Services

 

How long at SIUC:  Seven years

 

Hometown:  Born in Wisconsin but grew up in Morgantown, W. Va.

 

When you were a youngster, what did you want to be when you grew up?  I wanted to train and ride Shamu the Killer Whale at Sea World

 

People don’t know that you … Can sing really well -- when alone in my car.

 

If you could choose another profession, what would it be and why?  Downhill ski instructor -- fresh air and killer scenery.

 

What is something you still want to accomplish in life?  Travel to exotic places with my husband.

 

What was the first “album” you ever bought, and was it an LP, 8-track or CD?  LP, I’m pretty sure it was a Partridge Family album.

 

If you could pick an actor/actress to play you in a movie, who would you pick and why?  Sandra Bullock.  She can be tough, sexy, funny and even clumsy, plus, I’ve always secretly wanted to be a brunette.

 

What is one random fact about you?  I really like to fish.

 

Cats or dogs?  I’ve got and love both.

 

Who has inspired you, and how?  My Dad.  He is open-minded, non-judgmental, inquisitive and practices living a well-balanced meaningful life.

 

What is your pet peeve?  Mean people.
