Recruitment sessions set for faculty, staff

Southern Illinois University Carbondale University employees will have a chance next month to learn more about ongoing efforts to recruit friends and family of University faculty and staff at three information sessions on campus.

Staff with SIU Carbondale’s Financial Aid Office, Undergraduate Admissions, and University Housing, will host information sessions for employees with family and friends interested in attending the University.  The sessions will include discussing the enrollment process, sharing recruitment materials, and answering questions.

The information sessions are:

  • Monday, Nov. 7 -- Noon, Pulliam Hall, room 112.

  • Monday, Nov. 7 -- 4:30 p.m., Pulliam Hall, room 34

  • Tuesday, Nov. 8 -- Noon, Pulliam Hall, room 310

Registration for any of the sessions is available at http://admissions.siu.edu/employees

“While Undergraduate Admissions has been aggressive in our recruitment of local students during the last year, it is impossible for us to gather names and contact information for all students,” said Katharine Johnson Suski, Undergraduate Admissions’ interim director.  “If you have a family member or friend who might be interested in SIU, I encourage you to share the student’s contact information with me at ksuski@siu.edu.  I promise to contact your student with SIU recruitment materials.”
