Aug. 4 workshop available to faculty, staff
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- "It's a Team Effort: Working with Kindness" is a free Aug. 4 program for all Southern Illinois University Carbondale faculty and staff.
The training session is set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday in Parkinson Laboratory, Room 107. The program by Carol Fisher, workforce learning and development officer, will address the way we handle frustrations and emotions so they don’t interfere with our ability to listen and do what we need to do. It will offer tips for telling when we are making others uncomfortable and ways to respond kindly to rude behavior.
The Labor and Employee Relations workshop is free. Those attending can just register as they walk in.
