Criminology-Criminal Justice students win awards

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Students in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Southern Illinois University Carbondale are eligible for several departmental honors and scholarships. Several students received departmental awards at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year.

Daniel Kavish, a graduate student from Springfield, earned the Outstanding Criminology and Criminal Justice Graduate Student Award. Kavish is a graduate assistant working with Assistant Professor Christopher Mullins.

Other award winners are:

Michael A. Peavier III, Olney -- Criminology and Criminal Justice Academic Achievement Award

Steven Adent, Frankfort -- Criminology and Criminal Justice Senior Award

Maggie Rumler, Hutsonville -- Criminology and Criminal Justice Senior Award
