CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Southern Illinois University’s Division of Continuing Education and Saluki volleyball are teaming to offer two camps this summer for junior high and high school girls who want to improve their skills on the volleyball court.

SIUC volleyball camps provide instruction for individuals and teams as well as for specialty positions. Participants can expect to improve their skills, enhance techniques and increase team output and motivation in the upcoming season.

The Junior High Volleyball Camp will be June 19-21. The camp will teach fundamental skills and teamwork. Registration for overnight campers is $220 while the cost for commuters is $170. The deadline to register for the Junior High Camp is June 10.

The High School Individual and Team Camp is set for July 13-15. This camp will provide technique enhancement for each participant, introduce offensive and defensive tactics, and raise the level of chemistry for teams in attendance. Each team in attendance will train and compete as a team. Camp officials will group those who attend as individuals on teams for the competition phase of the camp. Registration is $255 for overnight campers and $200 for commuters. The deadline to register for the High School Individual and Team Camp is June 10.
